Congratulations to Professor Katherine Demuth
She has been awarded an ARC Laureate Fellowship for her project 'Neural and behavioural evidence for children's learning of grammatical morphology'.
Children with various types of language delay have problems learning grammatical structure, leading to communicative breakdown. Katherine's project will use brain imaging and behavioural methods to better understand the nature of these problems, leading to more effective intervention and better child health, wellbeing, and educational outcomes.
Katherine is among seventeen of Australia's most outstanding researchers to have been awarded a 2013 Australian Laureate Fellowships.
