ProfileGuoqing Ge has taught Translation Practice (TRAN820), Theory and Practice in Translation (TRAN816), and Advanced Translation (TRAN834 and TRAN836) since 2003. Before migrating to Australia, he worked as a senior interpreter and translator at the Foreign Affairs Office of Shanghai Municipality China from 1988 to 1997. He has exposure to different professional environments including diplomatic meetings, conferences and courts. He continues to work freelance as a translator and interpreter for private corporations, courts and communities in Australia. He is interested in the research of translator/interpreter competence. |
