Profile

Celene McNeill trained as an audiologist and speech pathologist in Brazil where she worked as the head of the audiology department at Unicamp hospital and lectured in the Audiology program at Catholic University of Campinas. She had work experience as an audiologist in Canada and England before immigrating to Australia in1989. She obtained a Masters degree in Audiology at Macquarie University in 1993 and is currently completing her PhD. In Australia Celene worked as chief Audiologist at Hearing Research and Diagnostic Clinic before starting a private practice, Hearing and Balance Centre, in the grounds of St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney where she was as a director from 1994 to 2003. In 2003 she started Healthy Hearing & Balance Care, which is a private audiology practice providing all aspects of diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology. Celene has an interest in clinical research with several publications in peer-reviewed journals. She is very committed to audiology as an independent profession and enjoys training new audiologists.
