She has also been practicing as a free-lance professional translator and interpreter since 1993, has done translation and interpreting work in business, legal, medical, court, academic and media situations. She has published translated work (from English into Chinese) in China and (from Chinese into English) in Australia. Her research interests are in cross-cultural issues in literary, business and legal translation, and language teaching.
