SOUND FILES

You can play your sound files on the Sun by clicking on them when in Netscape. The Sun will play: PC files (.wav) EMU files (.SSFF_sd) ESPS files (.sd) Sun files (.au) REALAUDIO files (.rm .ra .ram). If you get an error when doing so, check your Netscape configuration. To check this:

When in Netscape click "Edit"
click "Preferences"
click the triangle next to "Navigator"
click "Applications"
click "WAV audio"

verify that it is handled By "p_codec %s"

if not then click "edit"
the Description is "WAV Audio"
the MIME Type is "audio/x-wav"
the Suffix is "wav" (note that there is no . (dot))
the Application is "p_codec %s"
click "OK"

do the same for SD Audio (SD Audio, audio/sd, sd, p_codec %s)
do the same for SSFF Audio (SSFF Audio, audio/ssff, SSFF_sd, p_codec %s)
do the same for ULAW Audio (ULAW Audio, audio/basic, au, snd, p_codec %s)
do the same for REAL Audio (REALAudio, audio/x-pn-realaudio, rm,ra,ram, rvplayer %s) and add to your path "/home/apps/rvplayer5.0"
click "OK"

please let me know of any difficulties or problems.
