ProfilePrior to commencing her appointment with Macquarie University, Mridula was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Department of Psychology, Speech Science Division, University of Auckland, New Zealand. The focus of the research during the fellowship was in improving diagnosis and targeting interventions in order to achieve better outcomes for school-aged children with auditory processing disorders. Mridula has dual degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences and worked clinically in both capacities in India for 5 years before commencing her PhD at Macquarie University. Her PhD research investigated electrophysiology as a possible tool in the diagnosis of auditory processing disorders in children with reading disorders. Mridula has presented her work at both national and international conferences and has publications in peer-reviewed journals such as Clinical Neurophysiology, Australian and New Zealand Journal of Audiology, Neuroreport among others.
