Dr. Yuen has recently moved from London to join the Child Language Lab working with Professor Katherine Demuth.
Prior to his relocation, he completed his PhD on normalisation in tone perception in Edinburgh and then went to work on the 'CleftNet' project which was aimed at collecting, compiling and analysing an Electropalatographic (EPG) corpus from cleft palate speakers for speech and language therapists. He continued his EPG work in London to investigate the serial versus cascaded issue in speech production/planning afterwards. His research covers both the normal and clinical population and ranges from speech production to perception, particularly the action-perception link and the variability-invariance issue in speech planning.
