Welcome to the Applied Linguistics and Language in Education Research Centre
The ALLE Research Centre draws on a decade and a half of individual and collaborative research in applied linguistics and language in education at Macquarie University. The research of the Centre draws on a wide range of backgrounds and experience in academic literacy and English for academic purposes, first and second language development, second language teacher education, classroom-based research, migrant and workplace education, professional and organisational communication, and translation and interpreting.

The call for papers for this international conference, held on 21st - 22nd April 2011, Bangkok, Thailand, and jointly organised by King Mongut's University of Technology Thonburi, Thailand, and Macquarie University, Australia, closes on November 30, 2010.
