Outcomes of children with hearing loss: learnings from whole-of-population studies and the way forward

The Auditory System: Sound, Hearing Loss and Neuronal Plasticity

Overview: The primary focus of the research is to understand brain mechanisms of hearing. The goal is to acquire knowledge about the normal brain, so that more effective treatment strategies can be devised for dealing with the pathophysiology of hearing loss.

Harvard-Australia Workshop on: Language, Learning and Logic

Overview: This workshop brings together an interdisciplinary group of national and international researchers to focus on fundamental research questions lying at the intersection of language, logic and learning. Philosophers and logicians study knowledge and how it can be represented and manipulated, while linguists study how meanings are computed and expressed in human languages.
