Linguistics funding successess

Ingrid Piller and her colleagues at the AMEP RC have had some great success on the funding front.

DIAC has agreed to fund a longitudinal investigation "Language learning and settlement success: are they related?" to the tune of $315,045 in 2008 and $357,957 in 2009.

In addition, a project coordinated by Pam McPherson entitled "Supporting change and innovation with professional development" was approved late last year, for which the AMEP RC received $76,600 in 2007 and will receive another 76,600 in 2008.

WELL DONE AND CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE INVOLVED.

What a fantastic start to the new year :)
