Postgraduate Diploma of Applied Linguistics with a specialisation in LSP
The Postgraduate Diploma of Applied Linguistics with a specialisation in LSP has been designed to explore the increasing use of English as a medium of instruction across all levels of education, the worldwide demand for English proficiency in the globalising workplace, and the ways in which language use is specialised in such domains. Subjects are internationally relevant and focus on the development of skills for analysing language as related to context and purpose, and understanding the ways in which language learning is related to context and purpose.
Admission Requirements
Admission Requirements: A Bachelors degree or equivalent and proof of one year full-time (or equivalent) language teaching experience in a recognised institution.
Length of candidature: 1 year full-time or 2 years or more part-time

Full credit may be carried forward into the Master of Applied Linguistics with a specialisation in LSP or towards other versions of the Master of Applied Linguistics provided a minimum GPA of 3.00 has been attained.
NOTE: Application forms for entry into any strands of the Master of Applied Linguistics programs must be submitted by the relevant application deadlines.
Minimum Progress
To maintain candidature in the program students must show satisfactory progress by achieving a minimum GPA (Grade Point Average) of 1.5 in each year of enrolment.
Students should be aware that a Fail grade will impact the GPA and they may become at risk of not meeting the minimum requirements of the course.
