Description

Key concepts, issues and practices in professional and organisational communication, drawing on studies in linguistics, discourse analysis, social theory, and the sociology of work and organisations. Practical analysis, connecting the study of workplace texts, workplace discourses, and workplace practices in different contexts and sites, explores how language use and social organisational structures are closely interdependent.

Students will need to demonstrate how the content of the unit contributes to or can be incorporated into their proposed doctoral research area.
