Description

This subject includes consideration of underlying conditions and the particular communication and associated problems of children and adults with cerebral palsy, developmental disability and autism spectrum disorders.  Alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) will be discussed in detail.  Issues affecting families and carers will also be addressed.  This unit focuses on functional communication and a social model of intervention.
