Description
TRAN818: Advanced language studies is a core unit which replaces TRAN832: PUBLIC SPEAKING & TRAN833: ADVANCED WRITING SKILLS FOR TRANSLATORS for students whose dominant language is English. TRAN818 should therefore be taken instead of TRAN832 & TRAN833. Classes are offered for each of the language streams (Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Thai) and have been developed in association with language teaching specialists. The classes may be run on campus or off-campus depending on the language stream. It is recommended that you enrol in this unit early in your course in order to derive maximum benefit from the language study and in order to be able to integrate this into your practical translation work.
