Description

This course advances the simultaneous interpreting into LOTE techniques acquired in the previous semester, dealing with more difficult speeches. Students learn to follow the logic of complex technical discourse, and analyse the style and tone of delicate discourse , on business, economics, technology, and other topics based on the market demand for interpreting. The speeches that are derived from professional settings will be used for intensive practice . Students also practice interpreting with text. The ultimate goal of the unit is to develop students’ interpreting skills up to the professional level.
