I am a senior lecturer in phonetics, phonology, speech and hearing in the Department of Linguistics. I currently carry out research in the areas of phonetics and phonology, speech synthesis, auditory processing of speech, speech perception, speech acoustics and the evaluation of speech technology.

• B.A. (UTS) 1983 - Major: Communication, Minor: Psychology (plus some Computing)
• B.A. (Macquarie), Hons.1, 1985 - Linguistics
• Ph.D. (Macquarie), 1994 - Auditory processing of speech
