Overview of distance learning: undergraduate
Linguistics at Macquarie has some individual units offered in distance mode as part of various undergraduate programs. At this time, it is not possible for students to complete an undergraduate degree in Linguistics entirely by distance.
The units offered by distance are the equivalent of their on-campus counterparts in their rigour, in the expectations upon students, and in the amount and quality of work required. Individual units vary in their format. Some require students to attend special on-campus sessions periodically; some have formal examinations which may be sat at Macquarie, or at specially designated exam centres around Australia.
