Code of Supervisory Practice

The relationship between a student and supervisor is a critically important component of higher degree research candidature. It is a significant factor in the successful completion of a research degree and of a satisfactory experience as a higher degree research candidate. Macquarie recognises the need to foster a successful supervisor/student relationship during research candidature to facilitate a smooth progressions path, ensure a good foundation for future academic staff development and to develop its place as an institution of research excellence.

Policies, Procedures & Conduct relevant to Higher Degree Research Candidature including the Code of Supervisory Practice can be found at the Higher Degree Research Website.
