Important Processes
Some of the most common administrative processes related to your studies are explained on this page.
However, this information is provided as a guide only. You should ALWAYS check the relevant section of the online University Handbook and carefully read all the instructions on forms, especially the deadlines. The online Handbook is the official source of administrative information in the University.
It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to:
-
keep your contact details up to date via e-Student - the University may need to contact you at any time with important information about one of these administrative processes or another matter relating to your studies;
-
familiarise yourself with the University's rules and regulations - there may be serious consequences for your studies if you don't follow them correctly and 'I didn't know' is not accepted as an excuse.
Useful links
Some useful sites to visit, packed with information about University procedures, include: Dean of Students Information Sheets; Undergraduate Studies Section; Student Enquiry Service.
You may need advice before proceeding. The Academic and Administrative Advice page provides an explanation of the difference between these two forms of advice and some suggestions about who to contact.
Handy Hint
When receiving advice or submitting a form, it's good practice, to:
-
keep a record of the conversation (date; name of the person you spoke to; main points discussed);
-
ask for important information in writing;
-
keep copies of all correspondence, forms and other documents submitted.
