Bachelor of Education (TESOL)

This is a new program which started in 2004 and is a joint venture between the Malaysian Ministry of Education and 5 non-Malaysian universities (Macquarie University, Queensland University of Technology, Victoria University of Wellington, Auckland University and College of St Mark & St John at Exeter University, UK).

This course will be a 4 year Bachelor of Education, with years 1 and 4 spent at a Malaysian university and years 2 and 3 spent at one of the five participating non-Malaysian universities. Macquarie University’s intake will start in 2005 with 25 students in Year 2. From 2006 there will be 2 cohorts (25 students in each of Years 2 and 3).

The Macquarie University component of this program consists of units taught by the School of Education and the Department of Linguistics.
