Any students who have a grade point average of 2.7 or higher are invited to consider doing the Honours year. A small leaflet giving further information is available from the Linguistics secretary (C5A 508 ext 8740).
Linguistics Honours: David Butt and Rhondda Fahey
Speech and Hearing Sciences Honours: Robert Mannell
At least 26 credit points from Linguistics/SPH units, in an appropriate study pattern. Students who do not meet this requirement should consult David Hall.
Candidates who expect to present a thesis which involves social research are advised to consider including PSY222 DESIGN AND STATISTICS II in their undergraduate degree.
Currently Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Sciences (BSpHSc) students enrolled in the honours program do the same units as students doing Linguistics honours (alternative units for BSpHSc students are currently being considered).
BSpHSc students doing honours in Psychology enrol in an alternative program within the Psychology Department.
